Details such as text, images, databases, videos, emails, all of the files that make up your website. But this comes with a significant cost to our planet.

Servers tend to consume a significant amount of energy, and on top of that, they need a system to keep them cool so they are usually blasted with Arctic temperature air all day so that they do not overheat and fail.

In fact, approximately 40% of all energy used to power the internet is actually used to keep servers from overheating.

Now imagine that data centers all around the world need energy to function so they need to pull that energy from whatever power grid they rely on and usually most of the power in our power grids is produced by carbon polluting sources. Today, the internet is the fastest-growing carbon polluting industry in the world. For reference, back in 2012 there were around 500.000 data centers worldwide, now there are over 7.2 million data centers worldwide, an increase of 15 fold in a matter of 10 years.

Approximately 2% of the world’s carbon emissions are accounted for in data centers, that is as much as the Airline Industry!

This is a massive problem and it will only get worse if we do not act on it accordingly.

We care deeply about our planet, and our homes so we know that creating a business that gives back to nature is absolutely necessary. That is why we are happy to announce that from today onwards we will start a new initiative, we will start small, but hopefully we will be able to expand this plan into something much bigger.

Today for every service bought from us, we will plant a tree.

In the future, we hope to work with One Tree Planted and other similar associations to plant trees for every service that is bought on our platform.

We hope that we will manage to start a new movement for our planet that other businesses in our industry will follow.

We are already using datacenters that rely on green energy, mostly solar panels, but not as much as we should.

We will rely on more datacenters that use green energy such as solar power, wind power and other eco-friendly resources.

We have an amazing team and we are going to start looking into new possible collaborations with organisations all around the world that work for environmental causes, and we are hoping to start a program that will put back power into the grid.
