Step 1 :<\/b>Download MySQL 5.0 Community Edition to your Desktop from<\/p>\n

https:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/downloads\/mysql\/5.6.html<\/a><\/p>\n

Make sure you always download the \u201cComplete package \u201c.<\/p>\n

Step 2 :<\/b>Unzip mysql-5.6.32-winx64.zip (the downloaded mysql file) to get Setup.exe. Double click Setup.exe to start installing MySQL. Click \u201cNext \u201d when you are prompted as below.<\/p>\n

Step 3 : <\/b>Select \u201cTypical\u201d for Setup Type and click \u201cNext \u201d again.<\/p>\n

\"2\"<\/p>\n

Step 4 : <\/b>Click \u201cInstall \u201d to proceed with the installation process.<\/p>\n

\"3\"<\/p>\n

Step 5 : <\/b>The setup activity will show you some advertisement. Read it if you wish and click \u201cNext \u201c.<\/p>\n

\"4\"<\/p>\n

Step 6:<\/b> Tick \u201cConfigure the MySQL Server now\u201d and click \u201cNext \u201d two times.<\/p>\n

\"5\"<\/p>\n

\"6\"<\/p>\n

Step 7: <\/b>\u00a0Click \u201cStandard Configuration\u201d to ease installation process and click \u201cNext \u201d again.<\/p>\n

\"7\"<\/p>\n

Step 8 :<\/b> Tick \u201cInstall As Windows Service\u201d to make MySQL auto-startup with Windows and \u201cInclude Bin Directory in Windows PATH \u201d to make MySQL system files automatically available for other\u00a0 application.<\/p>\n

\"8\"<\/p>\n

Step 9 :<\/b> Tick \u201cModify Security Settings\u201d and enter a root (Administrator) password to secure your MySQL installation. Don\u2019t skip this step! Click \u201cNext \u201d again.<\/p>\n

\"9\"<\/p>\n

Step 10 :<\/b> Click \u201cExecute\u201d to start the MySQL Configuration process. Once finished, click \u201cFinish \u201d to end configuration.<\/p>\n

\"11\"<\/p>\n

Step 11:<\/b>\u00a0 Make sure MySQL runs automatically after installation. You can check the status from Administrative Tools Services snap in (Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Services ), also available via Control Panel.<\/p>\n

\"12\"<\/p>\n

Step 12 :<\/b> (OPTIONAL) Open your DOS command prompt (Run -> cud). Type in \u201cnet stat -na\u201c. Check out ports opened by MySQL (3306) and Apache (80) . That means the services are up and running.<\/p>\n

\"13\"<\/p>\n

Step 13 : (OPTIONAL) Run some of MySQL commands to further ensure that the installation is a success. Check out and follow the commands as pictured below. User account is root and password depends on what you have entered previously during your MySQL configuration.<\/p>\n
