in October, which is followed by a second point release.\u00a0This will then\u00a0receive\u00a0a complete\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/Kernel\/LTSEnablementStack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hardware enablement<\/a>\u00a0package (HWE) with a fresh kernel and current X server and graphics stack.\u00a0However, the\u00a0LTS kernel 5.4\u00a0from Ubuntu 20.04 already received some security updates as part of system maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Official_notification\"><\/span>Official notification<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This first update bundles all bug fixes since April in an updated image for newcomers.\u00a0Users who are already using April 20 will receive these corrections by updating the system.\u00a0For users who still use\u00a0Ubuntu 18.04 LTS\u00a0&#8220;Bionic Beaver&#8221;, the date of August 6th means the time at which Canonical recommends an update to the new LTS version for the first time and notifies users from April 18 accordingly that an update to April 20 .1 is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current release candidate (RC) for Ubuntu 20.04.1 can be\u00a0downloaded from Canonical&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iso.qa.ubuntu.com\/qatracker\/milestones\/414\/builds?_ga=2.77798740.1573524716.1596367047-394144382.1595902245\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ISO tracker<\/a>.\u00a0Instructions on how to find found errors can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/help.ubuntu.com\/community\/ReportingBugs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on the Ubuntu website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first update for\u00a0Ubuntu 20.04\u00a0&#8220;Focal Fossa&#8221;
