    If you already read \u201cIntroduction to Apache Web Server\u201d you already what Apache can do for you, however even if you didn\u2019t and you are here, I believe you already know.<\/p>\n

    So without much delay lets begin and follow the steps below.<\/p>\n

    Step 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Open your terminal and type<\/p>\n

    sudo apt\u2013get update<\/p>\n

    and hit enter, it shall upgrade all repository is your Ubuntu.<\/p>\n

    This may take some time, so check out some other article that you may like.<\/p>\n

    Step 2.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Now is the time to install Apache, so write<\/p>\n

    sudo apt-get install apache 2<\/p>\n

    and hit enter.<\/p>\n

    When asked yes or no, just press \u2018y\u2019 and hit enter.<\/p>\n

    And the installation begins.<\/p>\n

    At the end of the installation you\u2019ll see something like \u2018[ OK ]\u2019.<\/p>\n

    Step 3.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Lets check if its working or not, Open up your favourite browser, write<\/p>\n

    localhost<\/p>\n

    on the address bar and hit enter.<\/p>\n

    And if you see\u00a0\u00a0 the message as below, your installation was a success.<\/p>\n

    To Stop the Web Server<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Step 1.<\/strong> Again open up your terminal and write<\/p>\n

    sudo \/etc\/init.d\/apache2 stop<\/p>\n

    \u2018\/etc\/init.d\/apache2\u2019 is the address where Apache is installed and \u2018stop\u2019 if the command you are giving.<\/p>\n

    \"5\"<\/p>\n

    Check:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Again open up your browser and write localhost, now the message displayed is.<\/p>\n

    \"6\"<\/p>\n

    To Start the Web Server<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Step 1<\/strong>. Again open up your terminal and write<\/p>\n

    sudo \/etc\/init.d\/apache2 start<\/p>\n

    \u2018\/etc\/init.d\/apache2\u2019 is the address where Apache is installed and \u2018start\u2019 if the command you are giving.<\/p>\n

    Check<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    Again open up your browser and write localhost, now the message displayed is.<\/p>\n

    To Restart the Web Server<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The difference between \u2018start\u2019 and \u2018restart\u2019 is if you made any changes to your webpage, to reflect those changes just restart without stoppingit.<\/p>\n

    Step 1<\/strong>. Again open up your terminal and write<\/p>\n

    sudo \/etc\/init.d\/apache2 restart<\/p>\n
